Dr. A

My full name is Mikaela Arredondo and my heritage is Mexican-American. My last name can be difficult to pronounce so please feel free to call me "Dr. A".

I am a board certified Naturopathic Doctor and I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), the oldest accredited naturopathic medical university in North America and one of the most respected in the world. In addition to my doctorate degree, I spent three years studying integrative mental health with techniques focusing on the mind-body connection and I love to incorporate those techniques into my practice.

The modalities I use are clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, targeted nutraceuticals, specialty laboratory testing, bodywork/massage, lifestyle modifications, flower essences, and when absolutely needed pharmaceutical medications.

I specialize in chronic infections and illnesses, Women's Health, Gastrointestinal health, mental health, and primary care. I see patients ages 13 and up. My approach is a combination of conventional and evidence-based natural medicine, which is the intention behind the clinic's name "integrative".

I am professionally certified in Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage. It is a specific bodywork technique to address a wide range of complaints. Please visit the site linked above for more information.

I am a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors (MAND), International Lyme and Associated Disease (ILADS), Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PsychANP), and Naturopathic Medicine Institute (NMI)
